手作 - Salt Dough

在图书馆借了这本Green Crafts for Children，里头的材料都是家中或花园里垂手可得的东西，很环保。

我们要做的第一项劳作是Salt-Dough Letters。我没有字母的饼干模型就改用姜饼人，花朵，圈圈，心和圣诞树吧！

 

把步骤抄下以便以后作参考：

Materials:

• 300g plain flour
• 300g salt
• 200ml lukewarm water
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• water-based paints and paintbrushes
• mixing bowl and wooden spoon
• measuring jug
• rolling pin and alphabet pastry cutter
• non stick baking tray

1. Put 300g of salt into the mixing bowl, pure in the water and mix thoroughly until all the salt is dissolved - doing this before adding the flour will help to create a smoother dough than if it is added at the same time
2. Add 300g of flour to the bowl, also pure in the vegetable oil at this time. Stir until the mixture becomes stiff, then knead it with your hands to form a firm dough. Scrape the bowl clean and make the dough into a ball.
3. Sprinkle flour onto the work surface and place the ball of dough onto it. Roll the dough out with a rolling pin to an even thickness of about 1cm
4. Cut out letters using the cutters and place them onto the tray. Put them in an oven at 100*C for one hour.When hard turn the oven off but leave them inside to cool to help stop the salt dough from cracking.
5. Use water-soluble paints and a brush to pain the letters in a variety of bright colors, using whatever color combinations you think works best. When the bas coat is dry add decoration in another color.

我觉得最难是融化盐的步骤。300g的盐要融化在200g的水里，要搅拌很久哦！大B搅到一半就没耐性了。

粉团做好后两个瓜忙着压模型，这样就够他们忙整个早晨了。妈咪可以趁机做家务，嘿嘿！

模型压完就要送进烤箱咯！
